Palmer Community Foundation


Palmer Community Foundation is thrilled to announce the seven recipients of our 2024 competitive grant program: American Red Cross, Covenant Youth of Alaska, Daybreak Inc, Mat-Su Valley Rebuild, Palmer Little League, Valley Quilts of Valor, and Valley Community Recycling Solutions. PCF awarded a total of $15,000 in grants to these phenomenal organizations to further their work in supporting our community through their focus on health, wellness, youth, and community resources in the Palmer area. PCF is dedicated to supporting charitable organizations and programs in the Matanuska River communities, using investment returns from our grant-making endowment to generate grants. Thanks to our many generous supporters whose contributions made these grants possible!

The Palmer Community Foundation (PCF) supports local resiliency and self-reliance in Matanuska River watershed communities. We are committed to maintaining Palmer as a thriving community where people can live, work, raise families, and retire. Through our competitive grant program, we support local projects and organizations that are essential to the vitality of our area.


The Palmer Community Foundation is a long-term endowment for our local community. Donations to our permanent endowment fund are professionally managed and protected by The Alaska Community Foundation. Your contribution to PCF is an investment in the future of our community and 100% of your gift goes directly to grantmaking. As our endowment grows through investment income, bequests, and continued donations, it will offer an increasingly large resource to meet local needs over time.
